£10,000 raised and 100km swam, sponsored by Dryrobe & HUUB

2 swimmers by swanage beach

In a remarkable display of determination, and community spirit, a group of four individuals known as the Squid Squad took to the waters of Swanage. Their ambitious goal was to swim for an astounding 24 hours straight, all in the name of raising funds for two important causes close to their hearts: the Dorset Minds charity and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Setting off from the local cafe Gee Whites to Swanage Beach Buoy, the group totalled a massive swimming distance of 100km and raised over £10,000 for charity. The outcome was not just a successful fundraiser, but a celebration of unity and a testament to the power of collective action.

Congratulations to Daniel Chambers, Darren Tomes, Oliver Jones and Paul Green for completing the immense challenge and all those who turned up to show their support.
